MISSISSAUGA, ON, December 16, 2025 – The latest version of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV will make its North American debut to the public at the Montreal Auto Show January 16 to 25.
The refreshed and updated seven-passenger Outlander PHEV – one of Canada’s best-selling plug-in hybrid vehicles – will feature a wide range of significant improvements from a larger-capacity battery offering increased all-electric range, to improved driving dynamics through updated suspension tuning, to Dynamic Sound Yamaha audio systems.
Ahead of the public debut at the Montreal Auto Show, the flagship vehicle in the Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada lineup will be unveiled to the automotive press at a private event on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at an historic venue in Old Montreal.
When it arrived in Canada in 2017, the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV was the first plug-in hybrid SUV in Canada, and quickly become a favourite among environmentally conscious vehicle buyers looking for an SUV suited for the Canadian lifestyle and backed with the industry’s best warranty. The latest generation of the Outlander PHEV arrived as a 2023 model and won the Automotive Journalists Association of Canada Best Mid-Sized SUV Award.
The mid-cycle refresh will take the 2026 Outlander PHEV to another level with significant enhancements across the vehicle in response to feedback from customers and the media. While more details will be made public at the January debut, the updates will result in better fuel efficiency, increased EV range and better total driving range. The latest version of the Outlander PHEV will continue to feature Mitsubishi Motors’ legendary Super All-Wheel Control system, a full suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, as well as the brand’s 10-year/160,000km Powertrain Limited Vehicle Warranty, 5-year/100,000 km New Vehicle Limited Warranty and 5-year/Unlimited km Roadside Assistance.
